This is just a wallpaper I made, experimenting a bit with glass and such, 1280x1024, if any one likes it but needs another res just note me :D
used an L_glass shader for the tree

technical:
modled in maya
rendered using mental ray
lit entirely with final gather
(10,000 rays)

Thats friggin awesome. The only thing i could say is that u may want to make the shadows even more pronounced. other than that it looks great.(off topic but do u know if u can render an animation in vector) ttyl on AIM.

very nice, the only thing i would change is the source of lighting, maybe make the lighting plane a little but closer, and experiment with final gather settings, like min.01 and max1, this will give you more pronounced shadows and refractions within your pieces. good luck :D

Nice!!!! like the glass feeling it has!!! that L_glass shader is great tool when u are working with glass!!! maybe like the otrhers said, it will be greater if the shadows were more pronounced and the root less irregular.
